Eligibility:

Membership is open to alumnae of Barnard College, Bryn Mawr College , Mount Holyoke College, Radcliffe College, Smith College, Vassar College, Wellesley College, and to women graduates of any of the schools of Columbia University. 

Annual dues are effective from September 1 to August 31 of the membership year. Membership registrations received after February 1 will be pro-rated.

As a BBPW member, you will have access to tools and events which support your career development, and create networking and business-building opportunities.

Career Development Roundtables

Sponsored by BBPW in partnership with the Barnard College Office of Alumnae Affairs

The Career Development Roundtables provide a supportive and open forum where ideas, experiences, techniques and contacts can be shared, and new strategies learned. Each session will focus on a different aspect of career development and/or job search strategies and will be moderated by a career coach with expertise in the topic specific to that session. The moderator will give a brief presentation and then actively participate in and facilitate the discussion. The Round Tables will be held every other month starting in October 2009. Round Tables are limited to 20 individuals. They are free to BBPW Members and to all Barnard Alumnae. Space permitting, Non Members may attend for a fee.

Networking Happy Hours

The Happy Hours were developed to provide an informal venue to facilitate networking, and to enable members to practice and fine tune their networking skills in a safe and comfortable environment. Additionally, it gives members the opportunity to meet each other, to enhance their professional network, to discuss their job search, and to connect with other business and professional women. The Happy Hours are held bi-monthly and are free to all BBPW members. Non Members may attend for a fee. Registration is required because we provide a list of attendees for follow-up networking purposes.

Speaker Events & Panels  

BBPW Members will receive a discount on fees for all our major events and panels scheduled to be held approximately every three months in our 2009-2010 season. Invitations and Discounted Fees to Partner Events

BBPW has made alliances with other organizations including but not limited to Seven Sisters Alumnae organizations, to Columbia College Women and a number of entrepreneurial organizations to expand the networking opportunities of our members. By special arrangement with BBPW our members will receive invitations and/or discounted fees to attend particular events partnered with these organizations and BBPW.

Members can post and search job opportunities as well as participate in on-line discussions related to career and professional development topics.
